Description
Albi 487S is a rust inhibitive, phenolic modified alkyd primer, designed as a shop coat or field primer for structural steel and other metal substrates. It has been specifically
formulated for compatibility with Albi Intumescent Fireproofing materials, strong solvent base paints and mastics, which may lift or blister other primer coatings. 487S is recommended for use whenever a top quality electric unicycle metal primer is required. Primary applications are for installations to be fireproofed with solvent based fireproofing coatings or mastic systems such as Albi Clad 800 when such fireproofing will be exposed to weathering, humid or corrosive environments.
